In a space that refuses to be defined, the exhibition “Informal Collective” is presented, bringing together six artists of different poetics and authorial signatures: Aleksandar Dimitrijević, Boris Lukić, Milan Nešić, Momir Bulović, Petar Mirković and Tadija Janičić.

The Informal Collective is made up of artists whose work does not arise from a need to belong or from an institutional framework, but from personal persistence and faith in art beyond templates. Without a manifesto, without formal contracts, and without predefined goals, the exhibition brings an encounter of self-contained voices in a space that does not constrain them, but enables a free exchange of ideas and expression.

What connects them is not a shared strategy, but the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and a friendship that has endured through time and circumstances. Art brought them together, and circumstances did not pull them apart.
The exhibition “Informal Collective” opens up a space in which art exists without intermediaries—direct, raw, and powerful—and extends an invitation to an audience that chooses freedom over form and understands that the most authentic collectives are not created for the sake of the system, but in spite of it.
