Five Years of Silosi: A Weekend of Art, Music and Community

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, Silosi Beograd marked an important milestone with a three-day programme bringing together artists, musicians, creative entrepreneurs, partners and visitors from across the city. Throughout the weekend, the Silosi complex became a meeting point for contemporary art, music, education and community, reflecting the multidisciplinary vision that has shaped the venue since its opening.

The centrepiece of the anniversary programme was the opening of "Pearls of Clay", a major exhibition presented in collaboration with Terra Centre from Kikinda, one of the leading institutions dedicated to contemporary terracotta sculpture. The exhibition introduced visitors to a selection of works from Terra's internationally recognised collection, showcasing sculptures created through decades of the International Symposium of Terracotta Sculpture. Guided tours, workshops and accompanying public programmes further expanded the exhibition, creating opportunities for dialogue between artists, audiences and contemporary sculpture.

The music programme opened with an exclusive unplugged performance by Eva Braun, one of Serbia's most influential alternative rock bands. Performed within the distinctive industrial setting of Silosi, the concert offered a unique interpretation of the band's repertoire and set the tone for the anniversary celebrations.

The evening continued with a performance by Peđa Radović, whose carefully curated selection of Yugoslav classics and musical rarities celebrated the region's rich musical heritage. Throughout the weekend, audiences also enjoyed performances by Silosi residents Peppe and Iva Arifaj, while the anniversary concluded with the signature #SilosiSunSetevent, featuring a special back-to-back DJ set by Belgrade electronic music pioneer Nesha Spin and emerging artist Rade Badjin.

The celebration also introduced visitors to Art Factory & Market, a new programme concept marking the opening of Silo 4. Throughout the weekend, the space hosted a curated market of local makers, designers and independent brands, accompanied by talks, workshops and public programmes developed in collaboration with partners including Belgrade Fashion Week, Cirkulator and Shiva Shakti Yoga Studio. Additional highlights included a children's book presentation by authors from Generali, Vesna Sanken's lecture "Experiences and Transformations from the Heart of the Amazon", accompanied by a live musical performance by Boris Šribar and Dušan Žica.

Adding another artistic dimension to the celebrations, visual artist Svetlana Ninković created a live painting intervention, transforming the entrance of Silo 4 throughout the weekend and inviting visitors to witness the creative process in real time.

More than a celebration of five successful years, the anniversary weekend marked the beginning of a new chapter for Silosi. With the opening of Silo 4 and the introduction of new cultural formats, Silosi reaffirmed its role as an open platform where art, music, design, education and community intersect. Five years after its opening, Silosi continues to evolve as one of Belgrade's leading cultural destinations, shaped by collaboration, creativity and the people who bring the space to life.
