Science and Art in the Honey Garden of Silosi Belgrade

From July 21 to 23, the Honey Garden at Silosi became a meeting place for science and art, curiosity and play. Surrounded by a beautiful natural setting, three summer days were filled with workshops, exploration, and shared reflections on the future—as a kind of overture to the 10th art+science festival that awaits us this fall at Dom kulture Silosi Beograd.

During the program, audiences of all generations had the opportunity to take a peek into the world of the upcoming exhibition by the Center for the Promotion of Science through interactive, hands-on workshops.

At the workshop “Secrets Beneath Our Feet” we explored everything hidden in the soil—observing, touching, and learning through play, discovering the complex world that exists beneath the surface.

Through “A Picture in Motion” participants brought stories to life frame by frame, getting to know the stop-motion animation process and creating small film sequences from everyday materials.

The “Brain at Work” workshop introduced visitors to the basics of neuroscience through experiments that show how our minds function while we think, learn, and feel.

A particularly special experience was the “Climate Capsule”, which sensorially and narratively “teleported” visitors to the year 2057, encouraging them to imagine possible future scenarios and reflect on their own role in the world to come.

This three-day event was only a hint of what’s to come. In October, we return to Dom kulture Silosi Beograd with the jubilee 10th art+science festival—bigger, richer, and with an even more exciting program that blurs the boundaries between science and art and opens up new perspectives.
